Here is our December Issue of In Orbit! Thank you to those who asked and submitted a question. Any question submitted can be personal to your own astrology or a general astrology or spirituality question. I hope everyone has a happy Winter Solstice and Holiday season! Love, Sarah ASHLEY: Transit Saturn opposite my Natal Venus happening next year. But also my progressed Venus trine my natal Jupiter. Anything positive out of this transit Saturn? Or just challenges? Saturn will be opposite my natal Venus in the 3H Aries. How will this affect my current non-existent romantic life? Hey Ashley! This is an interesting question. Getting into progression is a little to advanced for my advice column but I am happy to get into some details of the Saturn aspects. There are a few ways we can identify the opposition. 1. Sometimes I like to look at Opposition when a Planet is in the opposing sign its self. This would mean that Saturn has been opposite to your natal Venus since March 2021. 2. To get more specific we can identify the opposition when the planet is with in 8 degrees of the natal placement (Venus in this case). An opposition already occurred with transiting Saturn and your natal Venus April 11th to July 13th. Reflect back on this time and notice what themes were emphasized in your relationships then. With the opposition occurring again after Saturn's retrograde you have an opportunity to flip the narrative.
I noticed something interesting about this past transit. When Saturn began leaving the 8 degree check point to your natal Venus, Venus and Mars were at 20 and 21 degrees Leo, which is right on top of your natal Venus. This really emphasizes the fact that this period last year was important for some reason. Saturn approaches this 8 degree check point in opposition to your Venus again on January 2nd. The Saturn opposition energy is at its strongest from then until after in moves into Pisces in March 2023. Now for your question, will anything positive result out of this transit or just challenges? I would say that you need to look at any challenges in a positive way. All Oppositions in Astrology ask us to look at things from a different perspective and try a new way of continuing. This transit is going to be challenging because it is asking you to break patterns. Most specifically it is asking you to break patterns in your self communication and main outlook (perhaps your main out look on romance vs self? Due to Venus in Leo.) Saturn will also retrograde again in 6 months (June) and this further emphasizes the fact that 2022 and this opposition is meant to help you really reflect on your internal structure. Identify your journey so far and what past experiences have created specific ideals, structures and mindsets that are limiting you. Reflect on these limitations around relationships, but also how you communicate, express yourself and define joy. Overall I would say that this transit is going to be more important for you to re-invent yourself and your perspectives around relationships so you can improve your communication and point of view on this life area so you can over come negative patterns and enter your ideal relationship in after March 2023. ESHA: I was wondering how having BOTH Jupiter and Saturn in the 1st house during my ‘21-‘22 solar return chart may impact me? Thank you :) Jupiter's transits from 2021 and 2022 are lots of fun, Jupiter dipped in to Pisces in May only until July 2021 and then on December 29th stays for a while until May 2022 before it Moves into Aries for 6 months. It eventually retrogrades back into the late degrees of Pisces in October 2022. The Most important times for your Astrology regarding Jupiter in Pisces would be the previous transit in May 2021-July 2021 and December 29th - May 2022. Think back May 2021 what things began for you? It was likely to bring some new ideas around how you present yourself to the world. This can come up in many ways such as starting a business, choosing a specific career path, thinking about a physical change like a wardrobe revamp, new fitness regime or piercing. The transit on December 29th is likely to make those initial thoughts from the spring / summer stronger. You are more likely to take action and follow through with some of these thoughts an decisions. When you find that moment of inspiration stick with it! Jupiter is a ruling planet of your Rising sign and is there to support you over the next few months. What is also interesting about your chart is that Uranus is right on your Ascendant. With Jupiter also activating this point in your chart you may overwhelmed by some decisions to create sudden change and growth in your life. Don’t cling on to fear and self doubt. This is a period of time where you learn that you can do anything you set your mind to. Saturn's Transit into Pisces tells and interesting side of this story. Saturn Doesn’t enter your first house until March 2023 (Note: I use Whole Sign Houses style of chart division which starts the house division at the sign of your ascendant which is Pisces). However, throughout 2022 it’s position in Aquarius does create an important influence for you. Saturn in Aquarius activates a period of endings in your chart and activates your subconscious mind. This brings the opportunity for a lot of spiritual growth for you this year. Saturn is in a position that is asking you to release old structures, which is perfect for the energy of renewal and reinvention that Jupiter is bringing to tour 1st house.
